Description of the Country Home
This property is located in highly desirable Miami NM, on the south side of highway 21, 0.5 miles up County Road C-8, Round Corral Rd. Springer, NM is approximately 15 minutes to the east, Cimarron, NM is approximately 25 minutes to the north, Raton NM is approximately 50 minutes to the north, Taos, NM is approximately 2 hours to the west and Santa Fe, NM is approximately 1 hour 50 minutes to the south.
Miami (elevation 6,200 ft) is a small community tucked under Gonzalitos Mesa (7423 ft) and Rayado Mesa (7,650 ft).

Approximately 30 +/- deeded acres of land, fenced on four sides with 4 wire wooden post construction. 30 water shares from the Miami Water Users Association are included. The pasture is well established predominantly brome irrigated from the one ditch. Abundant wildlife in the area include mule deer, elk, turkey, and antelope.
The home is an approximate 1985 custom open plan high ceiling cabin on a concrete slab. Exposed Douglas Fir Beams (from Colorado) with peg joints really gives the home a unique feel. 3/4 inch oak floors through most of the home with brick entry into the kitchen. Two bedrooms, one bathroom, approximately 1,100 sq ft of heated living space (base level 33' X 25') plus an additional heated area to the south with gravel floor poly lined sunroom (owner has drawings to turn this area into a kitchen addition). The home is heated with a Steffes Wall mounted heater (one year old) and a wood burning stove.

There is an approximately 140 sq ft redwood deck off the master bedroom facing east. This area gives fantastic views of the property and mesa to the south. There is a 240 sq ft covered porch off the west side of the home with Ponderosa Pine hand peeled logs, cedar ceiling with recessed lighting. Excellent views of the mountains including Black Mountain, Touch me Not, Baldy Mountain, The Tooth of Time, Little Costilla, the Sangre de Cristos in Southern Colorado and one of the Spanish Peaks in Colorado. Also visible are the extinct volcanoes of north eastern New Mexico. This property and the views are very easy on the eye.

Other improvements are livestock related include a 50' X 12' barn divided into two approximately 12' X 12' rooms at each end with concrete slab floor. One room is a tack/feed room and the other could be an office or additional storage. The remainder of the barn is open with an approximate 12' X 12' area with concrete stem wall foundation and rubber pad floor with drain suitable as a wash area. (Concrete block wall needs to be built to finish off wash area). Also on the property are two heavy steel construction 30' X 12' 3 sided loafing sheds. Each of these sheds has installed Ritchie Waters no freeze systems which work exceptionally well.

There are other panels, a 3 stall barn and a two pen corral which are all portable and NOT included as part of the sale on this property.
The property has one domestic water meter with the Miami Domestic Water Users.
